OUR MANAGERS
WENDY CROWTHER
Wendy qualified in 1985 as a Dental Nurse (Silver tray winner!) and joined Chong Kwan Dental Care in 1988. Further qualifications are PDA in Dental Practice Management, Childsmile and HN in Sterilization of reusable dental instruments. She is a proactive problem solver with a deep passion for ethical patient care.
On her time off, she likes spending time with her three grandchildren. Her hobbies are crocheting and exploring Scotland in her campervan.
JEANETTE KINGHORN
Jeanette has worked as a Dental Nurse since 1979. She joined Chong Kwan Dental Care in 1996 and gained her NEBDN in 1998. With her skills and experience she became Practice Manager. Jeanette enjoys interactions with staff and patients, as she says: 'every day is different and certainly never boring'. She is outstanding at dealing with patients.
Outside work, Jeanette loves travelling, she always has plans for holidays abroad. Jeanette is sociable and likes spending time with family and friends, especially with her little granddaughter.
OUR DENTAL THERAPISTS
LAURA HEMPLEMAN
Laura has worked for Chong Kwan Dental Care since 2005, while expanding into other roles. These included research for Dundee University on national trials and guidance development, working with health boards and managing Lothian's DCPs.
In the Public Dental Service Laura gained extensive training and experience working with children and anxious patients.
Now she enjoys applying her skills in restoring decayed teeth, treating periodontal disease and engaging patients in her passion for the holistic prevention of disease.
While off duty, Laura enjoys parenthood with her COVID babies!
RAMONA POPESCU
Ramona started dental nursing in 2015. Soon she realised that wanted a bigger part in patient care and progressed to Childsmile nurse and qualified in Oral Health Educator in 2018. She obtained a degree of Bachelor of Medical Science in 2023 and graduated with distinction Oral Health Sciences at Dundee University in 2024
Ramona focuses on preventive care but loves restorative dentistry. She always works with a smile on her face hoping this is contagious and patients leave her surgery feeling happy
OUR HYGIENISTS
THELMA CHARGE
Thelma qualified in 1980 at Glasgow Dental Hospital. Primarily she helps patients prevent oral disease and has worked in practices across the central belt, joining us in 2008.
Thelma works with trainee dental nurses and helps qualified nurses to extend their duties to become Childsmile qualified and to gain Oral Health Educator qualification which helps us bring better prevention to both child and adult patients.
She enjoys seeing happy dental visits and sys she feels fortunate working with a friendly and hardworking team.
Outside work, she keeps fit by running, walking and visits to the gym. She says that the stairs at work help!

OUR NURSES
NICOLE GRAHAM
Nicole joined the practice in 2004, qualifying with merit in 2006. She is currently working towards her Childsmile qualification.
Nicole particularly enjoys working with and helping anxious patients
Naturally chatty, you hear Nicole before you see her. She loves dogs and jokes!
Outside work, she loves dog-walking with her fiance, reading or watching crime documentaries.

KIRSTEN ALEXANDER
KERRI NICOL
Kerri joined Chong Kwan Dental Care as a trainee dental nurse in 2013 and gained her NEBDN diploma in 2015. She qualified as a Childsmile nurse in 2017
Kerri enjoys all aspects of Dentistry, she is particularly good at dealing with nervous patients and kids. She has been working with vocational trainee dentists and runs her own Childsmile clinics. Her goal is to become an Oral Health Educator
Outside work, Kerri likes spending time with her young son, socialising with friends, baking, hillwalking and being outdoors.
JODIE FLETCHER
Jodie joined the practice as a trainee dental nurse in 2021 and qualified in 2023. She loves chatting to patients making them feel comfortable. Jodie enjoys all aspects of Dentistry, and finds it particularly rewarding when a patient is happy with the outcome of the treatment.
She has a particular interest in Invisalign, an area in which she is experienced.
In her spare time, Jodie loves going out socialising with friends and going on holidays
KAYLEIGH SMITH
LIANA MOKHTARI
Liana is a dentist from Ukraine who joined our practice in 2022. She is currently working as a dental nurse while she waits until she can work as a dentist in the UK. On her own words: 'I love Dentistry because I enjoy making people healthy and beautiful. I appreciate this practice for the kind and honest approach to patients'
On her free time Liana enjoys spending time with her family. She likes dogs, wildlife, books and yoga
EMILIA MARUT-PIETRZYK
ANNIE CONDIE
Annie has been working in dental nursing since she left school and she loves her job. She qualified in 2011 and continued her training to gain her Childsmile qualificatios not long after. She has been working with our practice on and off to combine her job with spending quality time raising her young daughter.
Annie is a social butterfly and enjoy spending time with family and friends. She describes herself as a 'tomboy at heart who enjoys the outdoors, whether it's country walks or watersports. That's where you will find me on my days off'
